The art of doing online jobs depends completely on your time devotion to it. You may have to reserve certain time only for your online work. You have two options to any online job. Firstly, you can adopt this job as your full time job wherein you have to reserve a lot of time for it like you would work in a company and secondly, you can continue with your present job and take this up as a part time job opportunity. In this case you can take up a work load that will balance your present job and your part time job. If you are a computer professional then you have various options of technical work online. But if you are a non technical person you have to find a job which will shrink your options. As a technical person you can do a variety of jobs like website development, software development, search engine optimization etc. If you have good computer skills and the desire for working then you can even do full time online jobs from home.

Before you start off, gain a lot of experience in doing online jobs so that your rating gets improved. Get a lot of feedback from your employers and that's one reason why a new employer chooses you. The better the feedback the more number of projects you receive. Do not expect to get great work flow in your initial years. You will have to work hard for a consistent period to see good work flow. Thorough research of your field - When you start hunting for a job, search the field you want to work or take it up as a project. If you are planning to switch careers then opt for the desired one and research on it. If you are software professional you have to thorough in all the latest updated software. Reading all the latest industry needs and wants are very important. If you are an internet savvy then you got to be updated with all the search engines like Google, AltaVista and HotBot.

Striking Resume - Prepare a resume that is hard to be rejected. Have your objective clear and crisp and let the employer know exactly what you want to do. Look at the keywords and match them in your experience. Check for errors in your resume and make it short and neat. Add all previous experience and a gist of the role and responsibility towards that project.

Socializing through networking - Talk to a lot of people about your online job and socialize with people. Make them know you are involved in an option of working through internet.

Job Search - Look out for all the freelancing websites, job portals for jobs that will fit your requirement and update your resume there. This helps in getting to know what the employer wants.

There are so many options you can find in the internet. Do a lot of research and put your resume together and make contacts with a lot of people. You can also make yourself available for jobs in these websites. Online job has its own share of hazards. But these are very few small hurdles in your job hunting.
