Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) was setup with a view to maintaining and supervising different operations related to Bhakra Nangal and Beas Projects. Prime function of the board is to regulate supply of water from Sutlej, Ravi and Beas to states like Punjab, Haryan, Delhi, Rajasthan and Chandigarh (the Union Territory). Apart from it, the board also regulates power distribution to states like Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chandigarh (the Union Territory).
